In 2008, Cartier introduced the Cirque Animalier collection to celebrate one of its most prolific source of inspiration: animals. The Maison decided to pay tribute to three Asian animals, the panda, the elephant and the tiger such as the present lot. This original series was made in a limited edition of just 50 pieces in yellow gold, lavishly decorated with diamonds and precious stones. The impressive timepiece features the tiger rendered in ronde-bosse, a choice almost unique in the watch industry, graciously resting above the time display and circles by the round gold and diamond-set bezel.
The present lot is a rare and truly remarkable display of artisanal mastery coupled with design brilliance from Cartier. This is an unmissable opportunity for collectors to own a watch that is imbued with the history of the brand, yet presents in an altogether modern and elegant way.
