Sotheby’s is proud to present these Nike HyperDunk sneakers worn by Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic during the 2018-2019 NBA season. Jokic subsequently signed the toe area of each sneaker.

This pair has been photomatched by Resolution Photomatching to January 17, 2019. On that date, the ‘Joker’ and the Denver Nuggets blew out the Chicago Bulls 135-105 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. Jokic scored 18 points and added 11 assists and 8 rebounds in the resounding victory. 

Resolution also identified a ‘Likely Photomatch’ to January 19, 2019 and a ‘Possible Photomatch’ to January 23, 2019.

In the former, Jokic recorded a triple-double with 19 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds in a 124-102 Nuggets victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. 

In the latter, Jokic put up eye-popping numbers with 28 points, 21 rebounds, and 6 assists in a 114-108 defeat at the hands of the Utah Jazz.

A native of Serbia, Jokic was selected by the Nuggets with the 41st pick in the 2nd Round of the 2014 NBA Draft. Despite flying under the radar as an NBA prospect, it did not take long for the gifted big man to develop into one of the league’s most talented centers. After being named to the 2015-16 NBA All-Rookie Team, Jokic steadily increased his scoring, rebounding, and assist numbers for the next several seasons. 

Widely recognized as one of the best passing big men in NBA history, Jokic won consecutive league MVP awards in 2021 and 2022. Still in his prime and at the height of his powers, he already has five All-Star and five All-NBA selections under his belt.
