Highlights:

THE HARVEST:

100% estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, hand-picked in October 2007 due to cooler temperatures.

THE WINEMAKING:

The grapes were fermented in new French oak open-top barrels (500L) to soften the tannins and sculpt the structure and color of the wine. Aged for 18 months in select French and American cooperages. Exclusively produced at the Rutherford Chateau.

THE TASTE:

Lush nose of sweet plums and black cherry, followed by blackberry jam mixed with a hint of dark chocolate and loaminess, showing its place of origin. A full-bodied Napa Valley Cabernet that aged well and is delightful to drink now.
