A fine inscribed quotation, boldly signed, from one of Stravinsky's most celebrated works, the ballet Petrushka, first performed in Paris by the Ballets Russes on 13 June 1911. The quotation is from the Danse Russe at the end of the first tableau, where Petrushka, the Moor and the Ballerina suddenly begin to dance.
