rectangular, the lid with openwork engraved floral and leafy foliage, most flowers centred with a collet-set circular-cut rubies, reeded silver sides and base, gilt thumbpiece, opening to reveal a hinged mirror, a powder compartment, a cigarette compartment, a comb holder with horn comb, and two lipstick holders, maker's mark HM in a horizontal lozenge, signed Boucheron Paris, 'or/argent' control mark in a rectangle, struck with serial number BI No 875012, further numbered 62188, in fitted case stamped 'Boucheron / London 180 New Bond Street / New York 1 East 57th Street / 26 Place Vendôme / Paris',
