rectangular with cut cornes, the lid centred with an oval medallion of a young couple with a spaniel by a lake, within paillon sprays of flowers on translucent blue enamel over zig-zag engine-turning, the sides and base of blue enamel surrounded by white enamel borders and black and pale blue paillon borders in a stylised fan pattern, illegible maker's mark within rubbed French prestige marks, post-1919 French control mark
