the upright rectangular body and hinged stepped lid formed of openwork brightly-enamelled scrolls, set with pearls and pink, red and white pastes, the corners applied with columns in opaque blue and white enamel, glass lining to body, protruding enamelled strapwork footrim, apparently unmarked
