rectangular, the lid set with a semi-circular enamel plaque representing a fisherman and a shepherd with his dog to each side of a waterfall, mountains in the background, under an opalescent pink sky over sunburst engine-turning, the polished gold ground decorated with blue enamel bands forming a lozenge pattern, flanked by white enamel bands painted with black sundials, maker's mark within two further marks, sundial mark within sprigs, the right with an illegible four-digit number ending in 9
