This pair is identical to a set of twelve sauce tureens from the Holkham service made for Thomas William Coke (1754-1843) in 1776-77. The Hennell workshop was commissioned to produced the sauce tureens and salts for that service, and these tureens indicate that they produced this design for other clients.
