Maple, Length 33.5 Inches, Weight 31.6 Ounces
Ronald Acuña Jr.’s 2023 MVP season with the Atlanta Braves was not just a prodigious display of talent, it was historic. Acuña became the first player in Major League Baseball (MLB) history to join the 40/70 club, tallying 41 home runs and 73 stolen bases. Prior to 2023, no player had recorded more than 46 steals while hitting 40-plus home runs. On top of this sublime feat, Acuña Jr. led the National League in runs (149), on base percentage (.416) and OPS (1.012), while ranking second in slugging percentage (.596) and batting average (.337).
Acuña Jr.’s unanimous MVP run also put him in rare company three baseball Hall of Fame legends: Lou Gehrig (‘27), Chuck Klein (‘30) and Joe DiMaggio (‘37) who are the only other players ever to hit at least .335 with 40 home runs, 215 hits, 80 extra-base hits, 100 RBIs, 145 runs and a 1.000 OPS with fewer than 90 strikeouts.
In a third party assessment conducted by PSA/DNA, the bat earned a high mark of GU 9 and has a certification number of 1B29623. The autograph and inscription have been authenticated by James Spence Authentication.
