The uber talented Mike Trout has dominated Major League Baseball ever since he won the American League Rookie of the Year award in 2012. Since then, Trout’s on-field performance has been consistently elite, both in the batter’s box and as a dynamic center fielder. He is considered by many to be the best current player in baseball. 

Trout finished the 2016 season with 29 home runs, 100 runs batted in, and a batting average of .315. His 123 runs scored, 116 walks, and .441 on-base percentage all led the American League. He was voted the American League MVP for the second time after first winning the award in 2014. 

Trout has won three American League MVPs and been named an American League All-Star 10 times. He has finished in the top 10 of the MVP voting in 10 of his 12 seasons with the only exceptions being his rookie year and the 2021 season, in which he only played 36 games due to an injury. Though Trout is just 32 years old, he is already a surefire first ballot Hall of Fame inductee.
