The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is now produced entirely in-house, including the movement, but that wasn't always the case. Before the brand developed the calibre 4130, it outsourced the Daytona movement from Zenith. The "El Primero" movement as it is often referred to as was modified by Rolex to offer 28,800 bph. The ref. 16520 is among the last of the Daytonas to run on a Zenith El Primero movement and is a highly sought-after collector's item. Its feature set includes a desirable stainless steel finish as well as an older-style Oyster case and bracelet. A white dial complements the steel finish nicely and is topped with luminous hour markers and hands, a bold red Daytona logo, and contrasting black chronograph registers. This is a rare opportunity to add the preowned Rolex 16520 to your collection.
