4to (270 x 213mm). Folding lithographed map partially handcolored; 20 lithographed plates, one of which is folding, by J.D. Harding, numerous wood-engraved illustrations; very occasional spotting. Contemporary calf and marbled boards; joints weak.


First edition of this beautifully illustrated account by Manby, who travelled with Scoresby on the Baffin. There is much on natural history and the lithographs are among the earliest for English lithography. Scarce.
