cartouche-shaped, the lid painted en plein with a young couple on horseback in landscape, dressed in style Troubadour, within opaque white enamel scrolls surrounded by blue enamel and chased gold flower sprays, the waisted and fluted sides embellished with striped blue gold panels within opaque white c-scrolls, alternating with small lozenge-patterned cartouches and blue enamel vignettes, maker's mark CMWS incuse, Hanau shield mark, further struck:'14' for 14 ct gold, the left rim numbered: 1500
