Workshop of Giuseppe Nuvolone

This painting is based on Giuseppe Nuvolone's treatment of the subject (in upright format) in a private collection, which appeared at auction at Finarte in Milan on 21 May 1981, lot 98.¹ A reduced workshop repetition of this composition in landscape format is in the Accademia Carrara, Bergamo.²
