the rectangular top inlaid with specimens including Lapis, Malachite, Sicilian Jasper, Green Porphyry, Blue John, Verona Red, Daquesa Rosa, Rouge Griotte, Breccia de Guillestre, Violet Brocatelle and Labradorite all within an Ashford marble border with re-entrant corners, on an associated rosewood serpentine base with cabriole legs, circa 1840
