12-inch dial with rococo spandrels, signed Ellicott, London, matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, strike/silent dial in the arch, the substantial rack and bell striking movement with five knopped pillars and deadbeat escapement, the case with concave-sided cresting with mirrored fret panel and brass flambeau finials, stop-fluted hood pillars and trunk pilasters, broken-arch trunk door and panelled base, on bracket feet
