Orson Welles directed, wrote and stars in this film, where he plays Gregory Arkadin, an enigmatic financial tycoon, whose past is investigated by the notorious American fortune hunter, Guy Van Stratten, played by Robert Arden. Van Stratten hears some invaluable information about Arkadin, which he tries to use to exploit Arkadin. However, Arkadin twists the story and hires Van Stratten to reconstruct his past, which places Van Stratten in immense danger. Luigi Martinati has created the best poster on this title. It shows the financial tycoon Gregory Arkadin, played by Orson Welles, with his hand outstretched, menacingly holding the cast members in the palm of his hand. This rare Italian poster does not surface very often.
