the oval-form backs with a pearl borders and centred with shell-form crests, the padded curved armrests terminating in scrolls, ten with plain pea-green velvet upholstery and eight in the same shade with a flock pattern, the fluted seat rails above fluted front legs and outsplayed back legs terminating in scroll feet, re-gilt, the undersides with cramp cuts

Property of the Viscounts Astor at Cliveden, Buckinghamshire by 1966, when recorded in the Dining Room;

Acquired by the present owner through Gurr Johns, London, on 27th November 1997.
