the hinged tops centred by a marquetry semi-ellipse radiating satinwood and harewood panels and strung with purpleheart and boxwood, enclosing a shallow felt-lined interior, the frieze with marquetry inlay and gilt-metal mounts, the main body comprising a single interior without drawers enclosed by a panel door and two flanking panels with conforming radiating panels, the door centred by a gilt-bronze mount of a military trophy and the panels with a foliate mount, the square legs terminating in gilt-bronze sabots, partially re-mounted
