after a Chinese prototype, painted in the Chinese style with puce, sepia, iron-red and gilt Oriental flowering plants, grasses and foliage, the well with a band of trailing foliage, the border with radiating pink lotus petals reserving three gilt lobed oval cartouches of hibiscus, the rim with foliage scrolls within a gilt line, date 1903 in blue enamelsceptre marks in underglaze-blue, printed orb and KPM marks in iron-red, printed WR monogram with Prussian Royal crown above for Emperor Wilhelm II in blue, various impressed numerals, painter's marks
