In the 1920s and 30s, Patek Philippe started to adapt the Art Deco style, characterised by modern, geometric forms and technical prowess. The present watch perfectly embodies the spirit of these watches, featuring an architectural, curved case. Its refined and elegant case design is complemented by rose gold end pieces and platinum sides, a combination of metals rarely seen in watches nowadays. The striking salmon dial is set with golden roman numerals and topped off with golden hands.
To further add to the intrigue, this watch is double-signed by Udall & Ballou, a New York retailer and jeweller. The company specialised in Art Deco style jewellery but ceased to exist in 1949. As with all double-signed examples, this feature only adds to the watch’s worth and makes it a highly collectible piece.
