Over the years, Patek Philippe has created a plethora of three-hand dress watches, each of them beautiful in their own way. Produced between 1952 and 1956, reference 2533 is an example of a lesser known but nonetheless stunning Calatrava-style wristwatch.
By the mid century, Patek Philippe had already begun to create a screw back, waterproof line-up of time-only wristwatches to run alongside their more traditional designs with snap backs, and the present reference 2533 was one of them. Produced in a total run of only around 400 examples, only an estimated 100 were cased in pink gold. Add in the prominent and attractive Hausmann retailer signature, and this lot can be considered as one of the rarest configurations of an already seldom seen reference.
