Manchester, Whitworth Art Gallery, Peter Lanyon 1937-64, 25 January - 4 March 1978, no. 10

This is a drawing of Geevor Mine working gear. There is a strong suggestion that Peter Lanyon, who was a great friend of Denis Mitchell, drew this as a response to Mitchell's own experiences working down in the mine during the War.

This work was always prominently displayed in Mitchell's studio in Newlyn.
