Introduced in 2010, the Calibre de Cartier represented a pivotal moment in Cartier’s watchmaking journey. It was the brand’s first major release to feature an in-house automatic movement, the calibre 1904-PS MC, marking a significant step forward in mechanical independence. With its bold proportions, prominent lugs, and integrated strap design, the Calibre introduced a contemporary sport-luxury aesthetic to a maison traditionally associated with refined, formal timepieces.

During its production run, the collection expanded to include chronographs, dual-time models, and precious metal variations, showcasing Cartier’s commitment to mechanical and design innovation. The line was eventually discontinued, making well-preserved examples increasingly sought after.
