Meiji period, late 19^th century

each a woodblock print, signed Zeshin, circa 1890s, and comprising: 

- Cat on a farmhouse windowsill above a water basin, sealed Tairyukyo

- Spring flowers, sealed Zeshin

- Gourd, mayfly and wood bowl, sealed Zeshin

- Chrysanthemum sprig, kettle and lacquer tray, embellished with light silver-mica, sealed Shin, printed edition number to the upper left in Japanese suri yonjunana (47^th printing)

- Travelers in a rain shower, with artist's oval red seal

Each a shikishiban: each approx. 24 x 25 cm., 9½ x 9⅞ in.
