The popularity of vintage Rolexes has grown tremendously in recent years, and this trend is especially apparent with the Rolex 1675 GMT-Master collection. The GMT model was a Rolex watch commissioned by Pan-Am to help understand the effect of long distance traveling and jet lag. While the 1675 reference may seem to have had a very long run, there were actually many changes and variations made for this reference to both the dial and case. For instance the present watch is a highly sought after MK1 dial GMT-Master, highlighted by the string-like coronet and long “E” within the word Rolex. The tiny variations of the watch and the imperfection in the finishing of dials are minute details which Rolex connoisseurs desire to own.
