comprising a larger rectangular box, painted with shepherds near a village, a harbor scene below blue skies to the right, within painted raised gold scrollwork and rocaille borders, surrounded with an opaque pale pink enamel ground highlighted in white, the sides and base painted to match, gilt mounts with a slender thumbpiece, and two smaller rectangular hinged boxes with matching decoration, the interior with a museum inventory number,
