Mozart's most memorable contribution to the realm of keyboard morbidezza, the A-minor Rondo, K.511, is dated in Mozart's own thematic catalogue, the Verzeichnüss, 11 March 1787. It was published the same year by Hoffmeister as no.3 in vol. x of the somewhat delayed "Prénumérisation pour le Fortepiano ou Clavecin pour le Mois d'Aoust 1786".
