the top with a gilt-tooled leather surface and with a moulded gilt-bronze border, the frieze containing a leather-lined writing slide with conforming leather and mounted with a gilt-bronze entrelac border incorporating rosettes, the corners with lion masks above square tapering feet centred with gilt-bronze mounts in the form of husks hanging from a ribbon, the legs terminating in foliate gilt-bronze sabots, stamped P. DENIZOT the underside with a label reading 8037, the drawer altered as secretaire drawer with a fall front
