two handled on domed spreading foot applied and moulded with elaborate intertwining celtic ornament, 9 carat, on a later wood base, with silver lables and names of winners of THE PRESIDENTS CUP from 1991-2108 maker's mark TW, Dublin, 1991, with label for P.J.Wallace co. Kildare,

The Goldsmith Sharman Neil was Belfast based,  the gold was assayed in Chester. 
The Ardagh chalice, one of the finest known works of 9th/10th century Celtic art was part of a small hoard, found near the town of Ardagh in 1868 by two boys digging in a potato field
