A gold and enamel snuff box, Jean George Rémond & Co, Geneva, 1807-1815

rectangular with rounded corners, the cover chased with Ceres holding a cornucopia filled with fruit and flowers, seated in a lion-drawn chariot on a sablé ground, within an octagonal panel with blue and white taille d’épargne enamel frame, chased ribbon-tied leafy border around a flower to each spandrel, the sides chased with urns and foliage between further taille d'epargne enamelled ornaments, the corners with enamelled stylised sunflowers within gold dots, all on a finely-matted ground, the base centred with a chased attribute of fruitfulness crowned by two turtle doves within a polished octagonal frame, further decorated with elegant flower garlands and fruit baskets within a fine blue enamel border, maker’s mark partially rubbed, contemporary Vienna control marks
