At the age of 63, Laurent Ferrier launched his eponymous brand in 2010. In a remarkable debut, the brand's very first creation, the Galet Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral, earned Laurent Ferrier the prestigious title of "Best Men's Watch" at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève the same year. This recognition solidified the brand's reputation for excellence and set the stage for its continued success.

At the time of release, the model featured the first one minute tourbillon carriage fitted within a double balance spring. The effect is brilliant, allowing the movement to beat with unrivaled regularity and precision; a chronometer certified movement by the Besançon Observatory.

Laurent Ferrier is renowned for creating watches predominantly in precious metals, with exceptions being made for unique or limited editions. One such exceptional example is this 2013 Galet Classic, made for Only Watch, a charitable watch auction benefiting research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The piece unique watch, numbered “000”, is further enhanced by the sandalwood grand feu enamel dial adorned with a dove, which serves as the motif for Only Watch. Additionally, the sub-seconds dial bears the painted coat of arms of Monaco. Both the dove and the Monegasque coat of arms are painted in shades that harmonise with the dial, maintaining a sense of understated elegance that aligns with Laurent Ferrier's signature style.
