Description
Krug Collection 1971
Level above foil, original tissue
A cool and sunny September gave an extremely small, precious crop - 3,500 kgs. per hectare on average. There were nineteen different growths in the 1971 and the blend was 47% Pinot Noir, 14% Pinot Meunier and 39% Chardonnay. The result is aristocratic, stylish and mega complex. Krug 1971 was a star from the start and continues to amaze. One of the best bouquets you will encounter in any Champagne and a taste of honeycake and pure fruit freshness. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
