Description
Krug Collection 1973
Level above foil, slightly scuffed label, corroded Krug collection medallion
33 different growths. Pinot Noir 51%, Meunier 16%, Chardonnay 33%. In 2012, this has a bouquet of greengages and stunning depth and intensity - all this from a big crop! A touch of toffee and a satiny texture. Nougatine with lemon zest and liquid heather liqueur. Almonds and marzipan at the end. I think you can tell from all this that I consider this 1973 a chef d'oeuvre, absolutely fascinating in all its facets and rivetingly lovely. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
