For the 2021 Met Gala titled, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, Anna Wintour wore this mermaid silhouette with a ruffle train. Ms. Wintour intended to honor her close friend, Oscar de la Renta as the intention of this year’s gala was to pay homage to American designers.
