Sapphire and diamond bracelet, Charles Holl, circa 1920
Set with circular-, calibré- and step-cut sapphires, between undulating rows of single-cut diamonds, length approximately 190mm, maker's mark for Charles Holl, numbered, French import mark for platinum, one diamond deficient.
Charles Holl's maker's mark was registered on 15 May, 1917. His workshop was located at 20 rue des Victoires in Paris and then rue Volney. Testament to his superb craftsmanship, the Parisian workshop was employed by Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, amongst others, to manufacture handbags, boxes, cases and jewels for them.
