來源：原藏者乃瑞典駐華外交人員，一九六五至六七年間駐節北京。一九六六年四月訪滬期間，獲英國駐上海領事夫人之邀，同訪林風眠，遂直接向畫家購得本幅。

據原藏者憶述，林氏當年西裝革履，操流利法語，氣宇不凡。其寓所裡有一房間，桌上堆放著兩種不同尺寸的畫作。畫家告知政府上年要求他把作品漲價兩倍，小幅作品漲至三百元，大幀的漲至六百元。原藏者最終選購本幅。離華後，輾轉遷居各地，亦隨行攜帶，珍愛有加，舊裱仍存。
