A Dutch-engraved Royalist inscribed light-baluster wine glass, circa 1750-70


the round funnel bowl engraved in the manner of Jakob Sang, inscribed DE / VORSTELŸKE / SPRUŸTEN within an engraved and polished crowned cartouche issuing sprigs to the sides, supported by a bladed knop above a teared inverted baluster section and conical foot. 17 cm high; together with two Provinces glasses to include a pedestal-stemmed armorial wine-glass engraved with the arms of the city of Utrecht, 18.2 cm high, and a taller light-baluster example engraved with the crowned coat of arms of Holland; and another engraved with crowned mirrored initials HVC and the rebus of an hour glass

On loan from the Stilte-Stichting Landgoed Den Bosch Collection to the Museum Arnhem from February 2004 until recently.
