Designed for automobile use, this 8-day clock features apertures to the back for dashboard mounting. A discreet pusher at the base releases the central casement, which hinges outward to allow for both winding and hand-setting. The hands are tipped with luminescent infill, enabling the time to be read in darkness. Cartier was renowned for its ingenuity in adapting timepieces for a wide range of settings, from watches hidden within luxurious accessories to more practical applications such as watches and clocks made for travel.
