Marcasite Nodule

5⅞ x 8⅛ x 7⅝ inches (20.7 x 19.3 x 15 cm), 7½ inches (19.1 cm) tall on wood base. 20 pounds (9.1 kg).
This uncommonly large nodule displays concentric rings of shimmering marcasite — a polymorph of pyrite — that have been deposited in layers through sedimentary growth, in visual contrast to the darker matrix underneath.
