THE FIRST OF THE GREAT JACQUIN COLOUR-PLATE BOOKS, this Hortus celebrates ornamental and economic plants, both European and exotics, growing in the Vienna Botanic Garden, and was issued under the patronage of the Empress Maria Theresa. The fine plates are by Jacquin and Scheidl.
