Patek Philippe introduced the World Time reference 5130 in 2006 as the successor to the reference 5110. Encased in a refined and elegant Calatrava case, 2 mm larger than its predecessor, the reference 5130 features a distinctive ring-shaped hour hand, reminiscent of early World Time models. The outer ring is arranged to display the names of 24 cities, each representing a different time zone, while the inner ring indicates the corresponding hours. A simple press of the pusher at the 10 o'clock position activates the World Time's mechanism, advancing the time by one hour and shifting the city of reference. This allows the wearer to effortlessly adjust local time while continuing to track another time zone.
