Originally released in 2000, the Patek Philippe 5110 was the first time the brand serially offered a world time to the public. Considered to be inspired by the Reference 2523, the 5110 saw drastic visual and mechanical enhancements. The case size was enlarged from 35.5 millimeter in diameter to 37 millimeter in the 5110. Replacing the mechanical movement with a caliber 240 HU automatic and adding a pusher to the case at the 11 o’clock mark, we see numerous upgrades when compared to the 2523.
The reference was offered in all four precious metals (yellow, pink, and white gold, as well as platinum) and was discontinued in 2006. The present lot is offered in very good condition and is accompanied with its certificate, presentation box, booklets, and hang tag. Appealing to collectors, this lot is a beautiful example of a watch that was only offered for six years.
