Comprising teapot, coffee pot, creamer, covered sugar bowl and pitcher, of melon form with nephrite bud and leaf finials, spouts decorated with stylized scrollwork and beading, matching handle terminals, the nephrite handles carved to match, marked on bases with make’s mark export guarantee and with engraved signatures Jean E Puiforcat, the teapot, sugar bowl and coffee pot stamped 6, the creamer 2

This model teapot but with ivory handle  is illustrated in Francoise de Bonneville, Jean  Puiforcat, 1986, p 74, described as “d’inspiration Art Nouveau” circa 1922. Two  full page color illustrations show the  modelling  of the  spout and handle, pp.40-41.
