The Movado Times 5 was designed by Andy Warhol and is the original model of the now celebrated Artist series.
The watch consists in 5 different watches cased in blackened stainless steel, each featuring a different dial showing a photograph of Manhattan. The five watches have their own movement and are attached together to form a bracelet.
The piece was released as a limited edition of 250 pieces in 1988, a year after Warhol passed away, making it his final work of art.
These watches are very sought-after both by watch and art collectors, especially when they come with their original wooden presentation case, like for this present lot.
