folio (287 x 182mm.), woodcut printer's device on title-page, woodcut initials and tailpieces, early eighteenth-century English speckled calf gilt with endpapers watermarked with the "Pro Patria" emblem and the arms of England with a GR countermark, spine gilt in compartments with new morocco lettering-pieces, washed early inscription below printer's device, joints cracked, extremities slightly rubbed


This edition was produced jointly by Jean Bogard and Pierre Zangre, and copies are known with the title-page dated 1565 and with either Bogard or Zangre or both mentioned in the imprint. This contains the first printing of More's History of Richard the Third.
