Circa 1740


of baluster form with bearded mask spout and wishbone handle, painted in the manner of C.F. Herold with figures seated and standing around low tables, within quatrefoil cartouches of shaded gilt scrolls, the plain ground with stylised flowers, with a hinged silver-gilt mount with scroll thumbpiece

16.5cm., 6½in. high

The standing figures in both cartouches have both been copied from the Schulz-Codex, sheet 102.
