Conceived over a period of three years, the UR-FREAK marks the first collaboration between Ulysse Nardin and Urwerk, uniting two of the most influential innovations in contemporary horology. It combines the crownless, carousel-driven architecture of the Freak with Urwerk’s signature wandering hour satellites.
At its core lies the in-house Ulysse Nardin self-winding calibre UN-241, derived from the Freak ONE’s UN-240 architecture and re-engineered to incorporate Urwerk’s satellite hour module, resulting in a singular calibre that exemplifies both brands’ approach to innovation.
Housed in a titanium case with luminous Super-LumiNova indexes and striking yellow accents matching the strap, the UR-FREAK presents a highly unconventional display of time, reflecting a shared philosophy of independence, technical audacity, and a rethinking of traditional watchmaking codes.
Numbered 44 of a limited edition of 100 pieces, the present example is offered in excellent condition and complete with its full set of accessories. Presented here for the first time at auction, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire a landmark collaboration at the forefront of modern horology.
