LIMITED TO 200 COPIES, copy no.156 for the King of Korea, 4to (359 x 274mm.), dedication leaf printed in gold and colours on an embossed silver ground, portrait of Zvenigorodsky, chromo-lithographed title-page, 31 plates and 4 subtitles, black and white illustrations, original morocco blocked, decorated and lettered in gold and black, with embroidered bookmark, decorative gilt endpapers, edges gilt and gauffered, bookseller's label of "C.E. Rappaport, Libreria-Antiquaria, Roma", without embroidered wrapper
A fine copy of this lavish description of A.V. Zvenigorodsky's collection of tenth- and eleventh-century Byzantine enamels, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Of the 600 copies printed, 200 each were in French, German and Russian.
